Our experienced gastroenterolgist
Dr Rod Tirado 
is available for in-office consultations and flexible sigmoidoscopic examinations.
He also performs full screening and diagnostic colonoscopies as well as
upper GI endoscopies in the GI unit at Mount Auburn Hospital.

Dr. Tirado graduated from the University of Antioguia in Columbia, South America and completed his internship at Episcopal Hospital, Temple University affiliation, Philadelphia, PA. He also completed a two year fellowship in clinical gastroenterology at Lahey Clinic, Boston, MA. Dr.Tirado is affiliated with Mount Auburn Hospital.

Screening colonoscopies are recommended at age 50 or sooner for those whose family history is positive for colon polyps or cancer
